C. GRANT CULLY is President and CEO of Harbour Health Insurance Solutions. Grant has 27 years experience in sales, marketing, and finance. He graduated from The University of Mount Union in 1977. The first 5 years in the insurance industry were associated with the biggest Blue Cross and Blue Shield company in the nation, Wellpoint. That career had 2 promotions and 2 relocations with the company. Although direct employment with Wellpoint was for 5 years, the relationship continued when Grant became one of five General Agents for the redeveloped sales and marketing strategy in 1987. During the next 21 years, Grant contracted with other major insurance companies to become managing general agents for Humana, United Healthcare, Medical Mutual, and Aetna. From 1987 to 2009 Grants business contracted with over 750 independent agents and provided marketing assistance, underwriting and pricing for all agents and all carriers. Our business was moved to Hilton Head Island in 2009 where existing corporate relationships continue to expand and business-to-business clients are one of the company’s main focuses. Grant works closely with individual clients to make sure they understand their personal policies and Medicare benefits.
KAREN CULLY is the owner and Marketing director at Harbour Health Insurance Solutions. Karen was born and raised in Alliance, Ohio, attending college at nearby Youngstown State University, College of Health and Human Services. Karen was a dental hygienist, working in maxillofacial surgery for many years before joining her husband in the health insurance business. After selling their insurance brokerage company in Ohio and retiring to Hilton Head, they founded Harbour Health Insurance Solutions. Karen is a member of The Rotary Club of Hilton Head Island, and is the 2013-2014 Secretary. She serves on many Rotary Club committees and has enjoyed her prior years service as Rotary Club Program Director and Director of Fundraising for the Rotary Club of HHI. Karen is also on the Hilton Head Island Hall of Fame committee, active in the Hilton Head Island Institute, a Hilton Head-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, and HHI Safety Town Village committee member. She has served several area committees, including The Board of Advisors for Osprey Village, United Way, Program for Exceptional People, and the John Paul II Catholic High School Capitol Campaign. The Karen & Grant Cully are members of St. Francis Catholic Church.
JOHN RHODES grew up in Ridgeland, SC where he graduated from Thomas Heyward Academy in 1994. He began his collegiate career at the College of Charleston and graduated in 1999 with a double major, B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Biology. While in college he became a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity in which he held the positions of Pledge Educator and Vice-President. Upon graduating from college, John moved home and eventually took over the family business, Rhodes Tile & Marble, Inc. on Hilton Head. In 2009, he decided to make a career change to the insurance industry. He became an agent with Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company in June of 2009. He specialized offering voluntary employee benefits to small and large groups. Through this role, he developed a relationship with Grant Cully at Harbour Health Insurance Solutions. In March of 2012, John joined Harbour Health as an Account Executive where he works closely with business owners and individuals for all their health insurance needs. John is an Ambassador for the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce in which he was awarded “Ambassador of the Year” in 2013. He also is a member of the Lowcountry Jaycees where he volunteers for various events.
JANET CULLY Janet grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and originally moved to Hilton Head in 1998. She graduated from Hilton Head Preparatory School in the class of 2000 and then headed to New Orleans, Louisiana to begin her collegiate education at Tulane University. Janet graduated from Tulane in 2004 with a double major in Sociology and Psychology, and during her time at Tulane she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi fraternity for women. She began her insurance career in 2005 with Carswell Insurance Services as a Property & Casualty Personal Account Executive, an then as a Life & Health Key Accounts Manager at Benefits Network Insurance Agency from 2007 to 2010. Janet participated and graduated from the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce leadership program in 2012. She also enjoys spending time volunteering with the Hilton Head Humane Association and following the Cincinnati Bengals each fall.
TRACEY NADEAU joined Harbour Health Insurance Solutions in April of 2015. Tracey manages the office’s day to day needs. She is originally from Buffalo, NY, but lived most of her life in the mountains of Western Maryland. She and her husband David moved to Hilton Head Island in 2002. She attended Frostburg State University and Allegany College of Maryland, before moving into outside sales. She was a government and large business rep for several wireless companies, and also represented wine distributors both in Maryland and South Carolina. She is excited to be working in an industry that is rapidly changing, and received her South Carolina health and life insurance license in July of 2015. All the major carriers representing group benefits in South Carolina have appointed her.
